Website information is processed only to the extent necessary to provide the extension's user-facing functionality.

3. Network Request Activity

Internet Bandwidth Saver observes network request events in order to determine when its bandwidth-saving rules have blocked a request.

The extension may process information associated with blocked requests, including:

• The requested URL
• The type of resource involved, such as an image or media resource
• The domain associated with the request
• Whether the request corresponds to a known tracker domain

This information is used to classify blocked requests as:

• Images
• Media
• Trackers

The classification is then used to update the extension's bandwidth statistics.

The extension does not use network request information to create user profiles, serve advertisements, or monitor users for unrelated purposes.

4. Website Content

Internet Bandwidth Saver processes webpage content when Reader Mode is activated.

Reader Mode may examine webpage elements such as:

• Page title
• Headings
• Paragraphs
• Links
• Lists
• Tables
• Code blocks
• Other webpage elements needed to identify and display the main readable content

Reader Mode uses a combination of standard page structures and a fallback content-extraction method to identify the primary readable content.

The extension may examine elements such as:

• article
• main
• Elements with role="main"
• Other text-containing page elements when a standard article structure is unavailable

Reader Mode removes unnecessary page elements from the extracted copy, such as navigation, advertisements, images, media, scripts, and other distracting elements.

The processed webpage content is used only to provide Reader Mode.

Reader Mode content is processed locally in the browser and is not transmitted to a developer-operated server.

5. Extension Settings

Internet Bandwidth Saver stores the user's extension preferences using Chrome's local extension storage.

These settings include:

• Main extension ON/OFF state
• Block Images setting
• Block Media setting
• Block Trackers setting
• Whitelist entries
• Bandwidth statistics

These settings are stored locally in the user's browser.

They are used to preserve the user's preferences between browser sessions and to ensure that the extension's functionality operates according to the user's choices.

6. Whitelist Information

Internet Bandwidth Saver allows users to whitelist websites.

When a website is added to the whitelist, the extension stores its normalized domain locally.

Whitelist information is used to determine whether bandwidth-saving rules should be bypassed for that website.

Users can:

• Add the current website to the whitelist
• Remove the current website from the whitelist
• Remove individual websites from the whitelist

Whitelist information is not transmitted to a developer-operated server.

7. Bandwidth Statistics

Internet Bandwidth Saver maintains statistics about resources blocked by the extension.

Statistics may include:

• Number of blocked images
• Number of blocked media requests
• Number of blocked tracker requests
• Estimated bandwidth saved today
• Estimated total bandwidth saved

These statistics are calculated locally.

The extension uses estimated average resource sizes to calculate bandwidth savings. The resulting value is an estimate and may differ from the exact amount of data that would otherwise have been downloaded.

The current implementation uses separate estimates for image, media, and tracker requests.

Bandwidth statistics are stored locally in Chrome extension storage and are not transmitted to a developer-operated server.

Daily statistics are automatically reset for the "Saved Today" value when a new day begins. Total statistics are retained separately.

8. Slow Internet Detection

Internet Bandwidth Saver uses connection information made available by the browser to provide a general connection-quality indication.

Depending on browser availability, this may include information such as:

• Effective connection type
• Estimated downlink speed

The extension uses this information to provide recommendations such as enabling image blocking, media blocking, or tracker blocking when the connection appears slow.

Slow Internet Detection is advisory.

The extension does not automatically change the user's bandwidth-saving settings based on the detected connection.

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not intentionally collect or store the user's GPS coordinates, precise physical location, or other precise location information.

9. How We Use Information

Information handled by Internet Bandwidth Saver is used only to provide or support its disclosed purpose of reducing unnecessary bandwidth usage and improving browsing usability on slow or limited internet connections.

This includes:

• Blocking images
• Blocking media
• Blocking supported tracker requests
• Maintaining bandwidth statistics
• Providing Reader Mode
• Checking whitelist status
• Applying user-selected settings
• Providing slow-connection recommendations
• Maintaining the extension's functionality

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not use the information it handles for unrelated purposes.

10. Local Processing

Internet Bandwidth Saver is designed to perform its core functionality locally in the user's browser.

Website information, network request information, Reader Mode content, extension settings, whitelist information, and bandwidth statistics are processed or stored locally as required by the extension.

The extension does not require users to create an account.

The extension does not require a developer-operated backend server for its core functionality.

11. Data Transmission

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not transmit the website information, network request information, Reader Mode content, extension settings, whitelist entries, or bandwidth statistics described in this policy to a developer-operated remote server.

The current extension package does not contain a remote data-collection or analytics service.

No user data is intentionally uploaded to the developer.

Because the extension's core functionality operates locally, no remote service is required for image blocking, media blocking, tracker blocking, Reader Mode, whitelist handling, or bandwidth statistics.

12. Data Sharing

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

The extension does not share the information described in this policy with advertising networks, data brokers, analytics companies, or other third parties for purposes unrelated to its core functionality.

There is currently no developer-operated third-party data-processing service used by the extension.

13. Advertising

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not display advertisements within the extension.

14. Analytics and Tracking

16. Deleting Stored Information

Users can control or remove locally stored information through the extension and Chrome.

• Clear extension data through Chrome's browser settings
• Uninstall Internet Bandwidth Saver

Because the extension does not maintain a developer-operated remote database of this information, there is no separate developer account or remote profile that users need to request deletion from.

17. Security

Internet Bandwidth Saver is designed to minimize data handling and process the information required for its functionality locally.

The extension does not intentionally transmit the user data described in this policy to a developer-operated server.

All executable code required by the extension is included within the extension package.

The extension does not use remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly code and does not use eval() to execute remotely supplied code.

No software can guarantee absolute security, so users should keep Chrome and their operating system updated and follow standard security practices.

Internet Bandwidth Saver operates on websites that users choose to visit.

Those websites may independently collect, process, or share information according to their own privacy policies.

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites.

This Privacy Policy applies to Internet Bandwidth Saver and its handling of information, not to the independent privacy practices of websites accessed through Chrome.

19. Chrome Permissions

Internet Bandwidth Saver requests browser permissions that are necessary for its advertised functionality.

Storage

Used to store the user's extension settings, whitelist entries, and bandwidth statistics locally in Chrome.

Declarative Net Request

Used to create network-level rules that block image, media, and supported tracker requests according to the user's selected settings.

Web Request

Used to observe blocked network requests so that the extension can classify blocked images, media, and trackers and update its bandwidth-saving statistics.

Alarms

Used to periodically check the date and maintain the daily bandwidth statistics so that the "Saved Today" value can roll over correctly.

Scripting

Used to activate Reader Mode on the current webpage when the user requests it.

Host Permissions

Host access is required so that Internet Bandwidth Saver can apply the user's bandwidth-saving rules across websites, observe the requests necessary for its blocking statistics, provide Reader Mode on supported webpages, and determine whether websites are included in the user's whitelist.

These permissions are used to provide the extension's disclosed single purpose and are not used for unrelated functionality.

20. Remote Code

Internet Bandwidth Saver does not use remote code.

All JavaScript required by the extension is included in the published extension package.

The extension does not:

• Load JavaScript from external servers
• Load remotely hosted WebAssembly
• Execute remote JavaScript
• Use eval() to execute remotely supplied code

21. Children's Privacy

Internet Bandwidth Saver is a general-purpose browser utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
